Meet Richie Patel, the owner of both The Rooftop and The Landing. He's been in the food industry since he was a kid, working in his family's restaurants, and eventually endeavoring as the owner of his very own shortly after business school at USI. Richie started The Rooftop to give downtown Evansville something new and truly unique. His motto is, "Come a stranger & leave family."

Once you meet Richie, he'll most likely greet you with your favorite drink upon being seated, because he never forgets a face, or your taste! If you do miss him, he's most likely running around the restaurant cooking, bussing, serving, washing dishes, and anything else you can think of.

Richie created The Landing to bring something even more special to Newburgh, and we can't wait for you to join our family! So don't be shy, stop on by, and have a good time!

Give a warm welcome to our General Manager, Sean Swank. With 20 years of restaurant experience and 14 years in restaurant management, Sean has been working for a long time to get to the General Manager position at The Landing. After hosting and serving in restaurants for several years in Evansville, Sean moved to Massachusetts to earn his associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, and bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales University of Providence, Rhode Island. From there, he spent the next 10 years honing his management skills in restaurants ranging from casual dining, to James Beard award winning establishments across the state.

He brings his many years of experience in fine dining along with his culinary history to help create the perfect chemistry of a relaxed atmosphere in which the guests have all their needs met before they even ask. We couldn't be more excited to have Sean as a crucial part of our Landing team. And we've gotta say, we think we "Landed" the best of the best!
